Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions and the Customer Registration Form represent the agreement between you, the Sender (hereinafter, ‘’you’’, ‘’your’’, or the ‘’sender’’) and Weblink International Limited (hereinafter, ‘’Weblink’’, ‘’we’’, ‘’us’’, or ‘’our’’). Please read carefully, and append your signature to indicate acceptance.
‘’Weblink’’ refers to Weblink International Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of England and Wales, with registration number 4810142, and registered office at Unit I, Enterprise House, 27, Hastings Road, Bromley, Kent BR2 8NA. Weblink International Limited is a company authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) under the Payment Service Regulations 2009 for the provision of payment services.
‘’Service’’ refers to money remittance processed based on sender’s instruction.
‘’Sender’’ refers to someone who gives money remittance instruction.
‘’Beneficiary’’ refers to someone who receives the money sent by the sender
‘’Transaction’’ refers to the sender’s specific instruction.
‘’Transaction Fee’’ refers to the amount paid by the sender in respect of service charge(s) for money remittance
‘’Transaction Amount’’ refers to the GBP amount being sent by the sender (excluding fee)
‘’Payout amount’’ refers to the final amount received by the beneficiary (usually in local currency of the destination country)
‘’Cash pick-up’’ is a type of service involves where the beneficiary collects cash from any payout location
‘’Account credit’’ is a type of service where the beneficiary’s bank account is credited with the payout amount
‘’Weblink Card’’ is a type of service where the payout amount is sent directly into the beneficiary’s Weblink Card, specifically designed for money remittance
‘’Payout location’’ refers to any branch of our correspondent banks, where beneficiaries can collect money
2.1 By using our service, you authorise us to send a stated amount to the beneficiary in Nigeria
2.2 By using our service, you confirm that you are at least eighteen (18) years old, and capable of executing legally binding contracts under applicable law
2.3 You confirm that all funds being sent, including any transaction fee are derived from, and will be used only for, legitimate activities. You understand and agree that use of funds derived from illegitimate activities and/or intended to be used for illegitimate purposes, including financing of terrorist acts is strictly prohibited and will negate any obligations on the part of Weblink.
2.4 You agree that the service will only be used to send money to people who are personally known to you.
2.5 Weblink, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to accept or reject any Transaction.
3.0 Identification and Due Diligence
In line with the existing regulations, we are required to apply due diligence measures in our operations. Consequently, it is mandatory that you provide certified copy of a valid proof of identity (National Passport or full UK driver’s licence) and proof of address (Utility bill or Bank statement, not more than 3 months old). For non-British passports, in addition to the biodata page, also provide copy of the visa page or biometric card.
The required document copies can be certified by an independent professional person in any of the following categories: Medical Doctor, Civil Servant, Teacher, Solicitor, Notary, Post Office branch employee, Employer, Bank official, and Minister of Religion. In addition to providing a written certification on the copy document to confirm the identification of the applicant, the certifying individual should also provide their business contact details.
The complete documents must be sent to us by post. Upon receipt of the documents, we may make any enquiries we consider necessary to validate the information that you provide to us. It is the Sender’s responsibility to provide us with true, accurate, current and complete evidence of identity, and promptly notify us if and when changes occur.
4.0 Transaction Information
4.1 Transaction amount and fee must be credited into our company account by sender before transaction can be processed.
4.2 To pay into our account, senders are encouraged to use mainly Mobile transfer (Barclays Pingit, available to Barclays and Non-Barclays customers) or Bank transfer (online or in-branch). However, cash can also be paid, whenever it is unavoidable. A unique reference must be used for each payment.
4.3 It is the sender’s responsibility to contact us and confirm payment into our account, and also provide true, accurate, current and complete Transaction details.
4.4 Senders can contact us on 02030869321 between 9am and 6pm UK time (Monday to Friday, except bank holidays).
4.3 Once your Transaction is accepted for processing, changes can only be made by exception and at the sole discretion of Weblink.
4.4 Cash pick-up Transactions can be collected by Beneficiary on same day while Account credit and Weblink Card Transactions would be ready the next working day.
4.5 In line with the cashless initiative in Nigeria, a daily payout limit of N500, 000 (Five hundred thousand Naira) per beneficiary applies, for cash pick-up Transactions.
4.6 The applicable exchange rate for a particular Transaction will depend on the day sender’s instruction is received, provided the relevant payment has appeared in our bank account.
4.7 Exchange rates and other important information will be disseminated regularly by us (Weblink) via SMS or e-mail or both. You may also call us for this.
5. Transaction Fee: 4% of transaction amount, if sender credits our accounts through online, mobile, or in-branch (transfer) methods. For cash lodgement into our account, please contact us to confirm the applicable fee.
6. Cancellation: cancellation at the sender’s instance will attract a fee of 50p per £100, in the case of cash lodgement only. This is because of bank charges associated with cash lodgement. Cancellation is allowed for cash pick-up only if the transmitted fund has not been collected by the beneficiary. For account and Card credit services, no cancellation is allowed once fund has been transmitted.
7. Refund: appropriate refund will be credited only to the sender’s registered bank account. Refund will normally take a minimum of three working days.
8. Receipt: transaction receipts are provided only upon request.
9. Complaints: if you wish to lodge a complaint about our service, please send an e-mail to email@example.com or send a letter to our address. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, or the complaint is unresolved after 8 weeks, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service (e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org).
10.1 If any provision of this Agreement (or part of any provision) is found by any court or other authority of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision or part-provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed not to form part of the Agreement, and the validity and enforceability of the other provisions of the Agreement shall not be affected.
10.2 If a provision of this Agreement (or part of any provision) is found illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the provision shall apply with the minimum modification necessary to make it legal, valid and enforceable or the parties shall negotiate in good faith to amend such provision such that, as amended, it is legal, valid and enforceable, and, to the greatest extent possible, achieves the parties’ original commercial intention.
